Akebono House – Open to the public

Once a month, we organize an "open house" for people who are concerned about breast cancer, called Akebono House. Everyone is welcome. Takako Watt and a few members of the association can speak English, and some can speak Chinese.

Akebono House in Tokyo is held in a local community center, within 5 minutes waIk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station of Denen-Toshi Line (one stop from Shibuya on regular trains; note that express trains do not stop at Ikejiri-Ohashi Station).

Akebono House is also held regularly in other prefectures. The details are listed in our Event page in Japanese.

Introducing a letter from Ms.Cornelio sent on April 24, 2017,

Dear Takako-san,
Thank you very much for the warm reception you accorded me yesterday. I have to say that I am quite impressed with your group. Everyone seems very warm, friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the patients are very engaging.
The lecture of Dr.Keiko Kojima( Assistant professor of Jikei University Hospital) was very informative and easy to understand.
I am indeed very privileged to get involved with your group, and very thankful that you have allowed me to join even with my very limited Japanese facility.
It is indeed a very interesting first-time experience for me, and I look forward to being able to participate more in your future activities. I would therefore appreciate it if you can let me know of any activity of your group that I can participate in the future.
Again, thank you, and I look forward to more fruitful engagement/collaboration with Akebono-kai.
Kind regards, Alpa
